POLIMI Essay | Alberto Korda

This editorial project is a monograph dedicated to the legendary Cuban photographer Alberto Korda, developed as part of an academic examination at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). The challenge was to design a slim, staple-bound publication that captures the essence of Korda’s revolutionary aesthetic. Through a minimalist layout and a careful selection of his most iconic shots—including the world-renowned portrait of Che Guevara—the project explores the balance between historical photography and modern editorial grids. The design focuses on rhythm, white space, and bold typography to give each photograph the space to breathe, reflecting the power and soul of Korda’s storytelling.
